The Latin American and Caribbean Fall Festival in Hamburg 2024 came to an end with an emotional closing reception, where we had the privilege to host the organisations and partners that made this edition possible. It was an excellent occasion to thank them personally for their support and commitment, as well as to reflect on the impact of this festival, which every year grows and cements itself as a key space for the dissemination of our cultures.
This year, the festival exceeded all our expectations. With more than 170 events, we doubled the number of last year's activities, consolidating a more extensive and diverse programme. From music shows, gastronomic events and Latin parties, to art exhibitions, workshops and cinema, Hamburg became the perfect setting for Latin American and Caribbean communities to share the best of their traditions.
The enthusiasm and participation of the public was one of the great achievements of this year's edition. Thanks to the collaboration of more than 77 partner institutions, we were able to offer an authentic and energetic experience that allowed attendees to connect in a profound way with the roots of Latin American and Caribbean countries. This atmosphere was a reflection of what we sought to achieve with the festival: a space of encounter and learning between different cultures.
As we close this edition, we are inspired and grateful for the support of all those who made this event possible. We look forward to continuing to work together next year, with new ideas, more activities and even more opportunities to continue celebrating latinamerican cultural heritage.
