This event is organised by the Fundación Neotrópica in collaboration with the Environmental Administrative Tribunal of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the School of Biology at the University of Costa Rica, the Mesoamerican Society for Ecological Economics and the COLCA Network. The 2nd Latin American Conference on Environmental Conflicts (COLCA) Imagining and Understanding seeks to open a space of trans-disciplinary discussion that allows the interaction of local actors in communities affected with socio-environmental conflicts, with civil society, academia and the scientific community and to promote interactions with public officers and representatives from the private sector.
The Conference will feature a combination of presentations and discussions on selected topics in plenary sessions, along with specialized presentations and interactions in parallel sessions.
