This project supports the creation of an Alliance for the 5 Great Forests of Mesoamerica, one of the most important biodiversity hotspots in the world and one of the most threatened. The project focuses especially on local solutions with indigenous communities, and on illegal livestock farming as the main driver of deforestation in the subregion.
