To mark the opening of the Latin American and Caribbean Fall Festival, the audience will be taken on a breathtaking musical journey with three of the best Latin American musicians. In their concert, they will present the rich cosmos of Latin American music, in which classical and folk music go hand in hand and often form exciting connections.
Alexis Cárdenas, Andrés Beeuwsaert and Manuel Sánchez perform worldwide, and many of their productions have won prestigious awards. Special guests include the young Italian pianist Michelle Candotti and the Venezuelan cuatro player Jorge Glem. Michelle Candotti is considered one of the most promising piano virtuosos of her generation; Jorge Glem is Venezuela's most famous cuatro player and a three-time Latin Grammy Award winner. He regularly tours Europe with Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. The concert will feature works by Astor Piazzola, Alberto Ginastera, Manuel de Falla and Agustín Lara, among other outstanding composers.
