Consultation on the strengthening of bi-regional cultural cooperation between LAC and the EU

Together with Alfons Martinell Sempere, co-founder of Interarts, collaborator of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development, and member of the Board of Directors of the Cercle de Cultura de Barcelona, the EU-LAC Foundation organised a webinar on regional, bi-regional, and international cooperation towards a strengthened and inclusive cultural sector with the participation of experts in the field of culture, which is intended to:

  • Provide a space for the reactivation of ties between professionals and experts in the field of culture for the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC);
  • Carry out a consultation based on the "Resili Art" methodology (ResiliArt is a programme launched by UNESCO as a series of 270 online discussions to capture the voices of cultural communities around the world) with professionals working in the field of culture in LAC and the EU to deliberate openly on the theme of regional, bi-regional, and international cooperation towards a strengthened and inclusive cultural sector;
  • Promote with relevant input the preparations for the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (Mondiacult 2022, scheduled to take place on 28-30 September 2022 in Mexico City), based on the results of the reflections generated during this webinar;
  • And collect the views of the participants concerning a (re)activation of a space for bi-regional cultural cooperation, in line with the current context, interests, and actions of the cultural communities in both regions.

The webinar is a private event open to invited attendees only.
