Dialogue “Sustainable Investments and Transatlantic Cooperation: Opportunities in the European Union- Latin America and the Caribbean Strategic Partnership in a Global Context”

The EU–LAC Foundation and the Club de Madrid will jointly host the launch of the discussion paper Maximising Opportunities for Sustainable Investment and Fair Trade in the Strategic Partnership between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean.”  This publication is part of the EU-LAC Foundation’s series of analyses, recommendations, and strategic contributions aimed at enriching the bi-regional dialogue and the IV CELAC-EU Summit. 

The event will bring together high-level participants from the political, diplomatic, economic, and academic spheres to present and discuss the main recommendations of the report, which emphasises the economic and political importance of the EU-LAC strategic partnership in the current volatile global context, examines trade relations, and explores possible avenues for collaboration to manage fragmentation while leveraging the potential of the EU-LAC bi-regional acquis.

It will also feature insights from the Club de Madrid and the Atlantic Council, drawn from their trilateral initiative “From Fragmentation to Cooperation: Democracy and Multilateralism at the 2025 EU–CELAC and Americas Summits.”

This activity is part of the EU-LAC Foundation’s 2025 Work Plan, within the strategic line dedicated to trade, investment, and fair economies, and represents one of the key milestones on the road to the 2025 EU–CELAC Summit in Santa Marta, Colombia.
