Digital Consultation on the Bi-Regional Care Pact between Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union

The EU-LAC Foundation, through theEU-LAC Women’s International Network (EU-LAC WIN), with the support of the Global Alliance for Care, launch a Digital Consultation on the Bi-Regional Care Pact between Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union.

This survey offers the opportunity to review the draft Pact in order to reaffirm its relevance and enhance it with new contributions. This process will allow for the inclusion of experiences, comparative studies, and concrete suggestions regarding regulations, quality standards, professional training, and funding. The initiative also aims to highlight the multiple intersections of care and to promote cooperation modalities such as North-South, South-South, and triangular cooperation. Ultimately, it envisions the creation of a Bi-Regional Liaison Commission to design a joint work plan between key institutions from both regions. The Bi-Regional Care Pact seeks to foster cooperation between the European Union (EU), Latin America, and the Caribbean (LAC) for the development of policies that recognise care as a fundamental and universal right. The Pact's main objectives are to improve well-being, reduce gender gaps, and create accessible, high-quality services and decent employment for care providers.

Members of civil society—including social organisations, public institutions, community networks, and research centres involved in the care sector—are invited to participate in the survey until 20 June 2025.

You can now access the PDF version of the survey and send us a voice note with your responses via the WhatsApp number in the picture.
