The first webinar in this series is entitled "How are regional organisations responding to the pandemic and what opportunities for cooperation exist?".
This webinar will be held on April 27th and panellists will address the following guiding questions:
- What actions have been taken by regional organisations in response to the pandemic?
- What are the experiences that could be shared among such organisations on regional efforts to combat the effects of COVID-19?
- How could the strategies of regional organisations to combat the impacts of COVID-19 be improved?
- What challenges and opportunities does the current crisis create for the bi- regional partnership?
- How could the EU and LAC collaborate in the context of the pandemic and in the future, for example in terms of prevention and management of furhther emergencies?
For the first webinar there will be a moderator and the following panellists: Representative of the PPT CELAC, Representative of the European External Action Service (EEAS), Chief of Staff of the General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA), Representative of the Mercosur Secretariat, Representative of the CARICOM Secretariat, Representative of ECLAC and Representative of the European Commission, taking care to ensure a balance of gender, regions and countries.
