Long Night of the Consulates 2022

Explore the world from Hamburg: The Long Night of the Consulates offers insights into consulates and other international institutions in Hamburg. This year, the EU-LAC Foundation is once again taking part in the Long Night of the Consulates in Hamburg, which traditionally concludes the Hanseatic City's Europe Week.

Europe Week takes place annually in spring and is celebrated throughout Europe - including in Hamburg. Two important key dates form the framework of the event: 5 May as the founding day of the Council of Europe, and 9 May is the day on which the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman laid the foundation for the EU precursor, the Coal and Steel Community, with a government declaration in 1950. Both dates are also known as "Europe Days". Europe Week offers a wide range of events on the theme of Europe.
