Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Argentina

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship assists the President and the Chief of Cabinet within their area of competence, in all issues inherent to external relations of the nation and its representation to foreign governments, the Holy See, and international organizations in all the areas of action of the Republic. The Punto Nacional de Contacto´s function is "to promote the observance of the guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and contribute to the solution of issues related to the their implementation" (Res. No. 17- 01/25/13). Furthermore, this resolution stated that the Punto Nacional de Contacto OECD works in the field of the Department of Multilateral Economic Affairs and the G20, dependent on the National Department for Multilateral Economic Negotiations of the Subsecretariat of International Economic Negotiations of the Foreign Ministry. It is important to add that to the above mentioned Department also corresponds to intervene in the issue of corporate social responsibility in connection with the aforementioned Guidelines. The PNCA has intervened on several occasions, following its assigned functions, to get closer the involved parties in cases of application of the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises of the OECD.
