On 16 and 17 October, the First EU-LAC – UNED Pontevedra Conference ‘Relaunching the EU-CELAC bi-regional cooperation: Financial flows, funding mechanisms and inequalities’ was held. The event was organised by the EU-LAC Foundation and the National University of Distance Education (UNED) in Vigo, Spain.
The conference convened representatives from international organisations, the academic community, and leaders from various sectors to analyse the relationship between the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean in diverse economic dimensions. The event was accessible to students and participants remotely.
The Conference Programme included three panels: Financial Flows and Financing Mechanisms; Sustainable Growth and Climate Change; and Economic Growth and Inequality, where complex issues confronting the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean were addressed from multiple perspectives. This publication systematises the content covered during the meeting.
