The University of the Cone South of America (UCSA) was legally established, with all rights and obligations, on September 6th, 1996, with the Law 955/96. Subsequently, it opened its doors to the public in 1998, and it continues with more than 1700 students today. There are 17 undergraduate programs (which are subdivided into business, humanities, and engineering branches) and 1 technical program. Our university has a history of projects and agreements with foreign entities from the beginning. Among its recent projects, there are the ones under the Erasmus+ Program, and some of them follow the Second Action “Development of Capacities”: "Developing HEIs' Internationalization Policies (DHIP)" (coordinated by the University of Pisa), "Student-Centered Learning in South America (ACE)" (coordinated by the University of Groningen), "From Tradition to Innovation in Teacher Training Institutions (TO INN)” (coordinated by the University of Barcelona). Besides, the institution has agreements with universities abroad; such as the University of Pisa (Italy), the University of Applied Sciences of Jena (Germany), the University of Sassari (Italy), just to name a few.
